Abriendo Camino (Opening the way) is a collection focused on disseminating the work of current women leaders in Mexican industries, with the purpose of creating a bridge between experience and new generations of women seeking to enter these labor sectors. The collection focuses on industries where the gender gap persists and that have historically been stigmatized as male professions. Each title addresses an industry, where several women share their experiences, activities, achievements and adventures.
Abriendo Camino makes its way into a Hispanic publishing market where books about the laudable lives and works of women from previous times predominate, which move away from the current social, professional and communicative panorama. The aim is to commemorate and recognize the women who throughout history have paved the way, but it is also considered necessary to disseminate and learn from the women who today are conquering spaces with their professionalism, their abilities and their effort.
Abriendo Camino es una colección enfocada en difundir la labor de mujeres líderes actuales en industrias mexicanas, con el propósito de crear un puente entre la experiencia y las nuevas generaciones de mujeres que buscan adentrarse en esos sectores laborales. La colección se centra en industrias donde persiste la brecha de género y que han sido estigmatizadas históricamente como profesiones masculinas. Cada título aborda una industria, donde varias mujeres comparten sus experiencias, actividades, logros y peripecias.
Abriendo Camino se abre paso en un mercado editorial hispano donde predominan los libros acerca de las loables vidas y obras de mujeres de épocas anteriores, las cuales se alejan del actual panorama social, profesional y comunicativo. Se pretende conmemorar y reconocer a las mujeres que a lo largo de la historia han abierto camino, pero también se considera necesario difundir y aprender de las mujeres que hoy están conquistando espacios con su profesionalismo, sus capacidades y su esfuerzo.
